Overview

What Sattam.ai is

Sattam.ai is AICONSORTIUM's specialist legal intelligence model, an Atlas-class system fine-tuned from Clark's backbone on one of the most comprehensive legal datasets ever assembled for AI training. It is built specifically to reason about law: understanding citation chains, statutory interpretation principles, constitutional doctrine, and jurisdictional complexity across federal and multi-jurisdictional legal systems.

Unlike general-purpose language models applied to legal tasks, Sattam.ai was trained with legal reasoning as its primary objective from the outset. Its evaluation benchmarks were developed in collaboration with practising advocates and legal academics, not adapted from off-the-shelf benchmarks designed for a single legal tradition.

Capabilities

What Sattam.ai can do

Three core capabilities, each trained to the standard required by practising legal professionals.

Case law research

Sattam.ai can surface relevant precedent across the full corpus of case law in covered jurisdictions, including citation chains, overruled decisions, and conflicting appellate positions. It understands ratio decidendi and obiter dicta, and can distinguish binding precedent from persuasive authority across each judicial hierarchy.

Contract analysis

Sattam.ai reviews contracts under the applicable governing law, identifying non-standard clauses, flagging enforceability concerns under the relevant contract law and sector-specific legislation, and highlighting provisions that deviate from standard market practice.

Regulatory mapping

Sattam.ai maps the regulatory landscape applicable to a given business activity, identifying the relevant central and state legislation, the competent regulatory authority, applicable compliance obligations, and recent regulatory guidance or enforcement actions. Particularly strong on the intersection of national and sub-national jurisdiction in overlapping regulatory domains.
